Statistics and Computational Biology
Welcome to the "Statistics and Computational Biology" group headed by Korbinian Strimmer at the University of Leipzig!
We are part of Computational Biology and Systems Biology in Leipzig.
Our research focus is the development of statistical methods and corresponding software to analyze data from modern biomolecular high-throughput experiments. This involves considerable challenges due to the high-dimensionality and complex structure of the data. The biomedical applications of our methods include, e.g., biomarker discovery, clinical diagnostics and systems biology.
